Our story

The idea of VetCircle started during my time working in a corporate veterinary organization, where Monty and I were part of the early team. He was leading operations across hospitals, and I was focused on business development and acquiring practices. From that vantage point, we saw something that stuck with us: Independent practice owners weren’t struggling because they lacked passion or medical expertise; they struggled because they didn’t have the same level of operational support or buying power that corporations did. At the same time, we saw just how powerful it was when practices suddenly came together; access, leverage, and opportunity looked completely different.

What impacted me most were the conversations I had with owners.

So many of them didn’t feel like they were choosing to sell, they felt forced to. They were exhausted, overwhelmed, and out of options. These were proud business owners who had built something meaningful, yet they felt like they had lost control over whether they could keep it. What stayed with Monty and I, was how many of them regretted selling later, especially after Monty implemented operational changes to their practice and their hospital finally ran the way they always envisioned. They didn’t want to give up ownership. They just needed the right support, structure, and guidance to make it sustainable.
 
Those experiences stayed with both of us. What started as honest conversations, venting over coffee, turned into a much bigger question: what if we could give independent practice owners the same advantages as corporate groups, without taking away their independence? That answer became VetCircle. Everything we’ve built is rooted in that mission: Help owners keep their “baby,” while giving them the tools, systems, and support to truly thrive. To this day, Monty and I remain deeply involved inside clinics, because staying close to the real challenges allows us to keep showing up with solutions that truly matter.
