Dr. Amy Thomson (DVM, DAVDC) is back to instruct our Fall VetCircle Dental Extractions Wet Lab! Dr. Amy Thomson, otherwise known as “toothy” is a board certified dentist and oral surgeon at Lakeshore Animal Health Partners. Her professional areas of interest include pediatric dentistry, a multidisciplinary approach to maxillofacial tumours, preserving the function of teeth through periodontics, endodontics and prosothodontics, as well as being passionate about educating pet owners and other veterinary proffessionals. She has and continues to teach both in-person and virtually, as well as contributes to courses, articles and advice to several online platforms.

Agenda:

Dr. Amy Thomson will kick off the session with a lecture and demonstration, followed by a hands-on wet lab. During the wet lab, attendees will have three hours to work on their own canine/feline cadaver skull using a high-speed drill to extract teeth of their choice. Dr. Amy Thomson will provide personalized guidance and support to a group of 10 attendees, throughout the session.
